Dr. Holland is a pediatric hospitalist at UVA Children’s Hospital. She cares for patients admitted to the general pediatric service, working closely with the pediatric residents and referring physicians to provide good care for our patients. Her interests include advocacy, health literacy, fitness and early childhood education.
Dr. Holland was born in Richmond and grew up in Washington, D.C. She earned her bachelor’s in anthropology from UVA, a master’s in anatomy from Virginia Commonwealth University and a medical degree from Tulane University. She returned to Charlottesville for her pediatric residency at UVA. Following residency, she lived in Tucson, Arizona, for 12 years. She spent four years at a school-based health clinic within the El Rio Community Health Center. She then transitioned to the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center as a pediatric hospitalist. She returned to UVA in 2015.
Dr. Holland and her husband have two children, who are in middle and high school, and a black lab. In her free time, she volunteers at the Agnor-Hurt Elementary School library and the Loaves and Fishes food bank. She and her husband are also starting a mountain bike club at Albemarle High School. Dr. Holland enjoys running, triathlons and cooking.
