Michael “Mike” McCulloch, MD, is an associate professor and a pediatric cardiologist at UVA Children’s Hospital Heart Center. Before joining UVA, he spent nine years at the AIfred I. duPont Hospital for Children’s Nemours Cardiac Center in Wilmington, Delaware, where he served as medical director of the pulmonary hypertension program and director of the cardiac MRI program. He was also a member of the heart failure, heart transplant and cardiac intensive care unit teams.
A New Jersey native, Dr. McCulloch graduated from Wake Forest University, attended graduate school for physiology, and earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his pediatrics residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Virginia.
Dr. McCulloch is married with two children, and enjoys traveling and going to the beach with his family. His other hobbies include listening to live music, playing the piano, hiking and checking out the local micro-breweries.
