Dr. Kern is a pediatric urologist and an assistant professor in pediatric urology at UVA. She joined the faculty in 2015.
Dr. Kern was born and raised in rural South Boston, Virginia. She attended UVA for undergraduate and medical school and completed her urologic residency at Boston University Medical Center. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric urology at Children’s National Health System.
