A child's respiratory issues may stem from a number of different causes and may be effecting their lifestyle in different ways.
Pediatric Severe Asthma Center
We offer state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment options for children and young adults with severe or difficult to control asthma. Our allergy evaluations include detailed lung function and imaging, and often bronchoscopy and an assessment of inflammatory pathways.
Sleep Disorders
We are also one of the few centers in the region to offer an extensive pediatric sleep program for children with sleep-related respiratory symptoms, which includes evaluations for infants.
We test and treat sleep disorders and sleep-related breathing disorders at the UVA Sleep Disorders Center Pantops and the UVA Sleep Disorders Center Jefferson Park Avenue.
Cystic Fibrosis & Your Child
Our Cystic Fibrosis Center is one of 110 nationally to be accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and includes participation in their nationally known Drug Discovery Program.
