Evaluation of Enhanced Lithotripsy System (ELS) in the Treatment of Urinary Stones, A Pivotal Trial
UVA Health and UVA Health Culpeper Department of Urology seeks adults/men/women ages 21 and up with kidney stones for a research study. The purpose of the study is to test the effectiveness of a new investigational medical device for treating kidney stones. You may be eligible for this study if: you have a kidney stone that is located in the ureter. Study involves treatment with an experimental medical device, ultrasound, xray, CT scan, blood draws, urine samples and questionnaires. Study requires 2 to 3 additional visits (screening, 4 weeks after the procedure and possible 90 days after procedure) and a phone call (2 weeks after the procedure). The phone visit will last about 15 minutes and the study visits will last up to 2 hours. Study-related experimental medical device treatment provided at no cost.
