Bio & Overview

Beth Ellen Davis, MD, MPH, is a developmental behavioral pediatrician with a career of over 30 years providing leadership, research, patient care, and medical education. She is passionate about improving the lives of children, youth, and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. She works to enhance systems of care, and educate primary care clinicians in the care of children with developmental disabilities.

She was drawn to serving families of children with special needs as a teenager when she served as a camp counselor for children with muscular dystrophy. “The strength and courage of those children and their families made a strong impression on me,” she says. “I was inspired by their resilience.”

Davis earned her medical degree and completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Virginia. She completed her fellowship training in developmental behavioral pediatrics at Madigan Army Medical Center/University of Washington. She obtained a masters in public health at the University of Washington.

She is a retired colonel in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
