Bio & Overview
Mohammed Almamun, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who cares for patients of all ages, offering preventive care, chronic disease management, women’s health, and office-based procedures.
He has a special interest in obesity and diabetes management, with a focus on helping patients achieve lasting health improvements.
His research interests include advancing health equity and improving outcomes in underserved communities.

I approach every patient with empathy, cultural awareness, and a genuine desire to understand their unique perspective, empowering them to take an active role in their health.”
Dr. Almamun completed his family medicine residency at Aiken Regional Medical Center in South Carolina. He has broad experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, pediatrics, veteran health services, and long-term care.
Dr. Almamun grew up in New York City in a family that emphasized education, hard work, and service, values he carries into his medical practice today. Inspired by his father, a teacher, and supported by his mother, who cared for their home and family, he developed a deep appreciation for learning and community that continues to shape the way he cares for his patients.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, exploring cultures, and discovering new foods with his wife and young child.
