Highlights
Meet Stephanie Zuo, MD
Hi. My name is Stephanie Zuo and I'm a urogynecologist at UVA Health. I treat women who deal with bladder and bowel leakage, as well as vaginal bulge or prolapse. We offer surgical options as well as medical options for the treatment of these pelvic floor conditions. I actually became interested in medicine as a college student. I shadowed a really incredible female surgeon, and she inspired me with the way that she interacted with her patients, as well as the immense trust that I saw that her patients put in her to take care of them. One of the things that I really hope for my patients is that they come out of the clinic visit with a full understanding of their condition and feel empowered to make a shared decision with me about the path forward that they want to take. Our team of urogynecologists and advanced practice practitioners at UVA Health are truly outstanding. I feel so lucky to be part of this group that is able to provide our patients with some of the latest techniques and medical options out there for treating pelvic floor conditions. We are constantly trying to improve our own practices and bring the best of what there is to offer to our patients.
