Bio & Overview
As a developmental pediatrician, Valentina Intagliata, MD, enjoys seeing children with a range of developmental differences. She has a specific focus with these areas:
- Cerebral palsy
- Spina bifida
- Down syndrome
- Feeding disorders
She completed both her pediatric residency training (2010) and fellowship training in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (2013) at the University of Virginia.
After finishing her subspecialty training, she stayed on as UVA Health pediatric faculty. She is an associate professor and board-certified in General Pediatrics and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
Her passion is working closely with patients and their families in clinic, but she also very much enjoys training fellows, residents and medical students.
In her teaching role, Dr. Intagliata directs the UVA Health Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship Program. She also coordinates medical student and resident training in developmental pediatrics.
