Clinical Trials | MYELOMATCH: A Screening Study to Assign People with Myeloid Cancer to a Treatment Study or Standard of Care Treatment within myeloMATCH
Master Screening and Reassessment Protocol (MSRP) for Tier Advancement in the NCI myeloMATCH Clinical Trials
The University of Virginia is participating in a clinical research study for adults ages 18 and over, who have been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and have not yet started treatment. This is a screening study. In this screening study, we are asking you to have testing on your bone marrow and blood for certain biomarkers. If you choose to participate in this screening study and have biomarker testing done, the results will show us what treatment options are currently available in the myeloMATCH studies. We will either match you with a myeloMATCH treatment substudy or standard of care treatment with your doctor. If you join myeloMATCH, it will take about 3 days for your doctor to receive your screening results and your first treatment assignment in myeloMATCH. If you receive screening results that match an available clinical trial (also called a myeloMATCH substudy), you will receive information about the substudy to help you decide if you want to join it. If you receive screening results that do not match an available substudy, you will receive standard of care treatment under the care of your doctor instead. Study-related procedures that are being done beyond your standard of care will be provided at no cost to you or your insurance.
