Ayah Elmaghrabi, MD, is a pediatrician. She specializes in nephrology, or kidney care. She treats children with kidney conditions. She is also the director of pediatric dialysis at UVA Health.
Elmaghrabi earned an MBBS degree from the University of Khartoum. She completed a pediatric residency at the University of Mississippi. She also completed a pediatric nephrology fellowship at the University of Texas.
She is a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ASPN), and the International Pediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA).
Elmaghrabi was born in England and raised in Sudan. She became a doctor so that she could improve lives. Her care approach is based on communication and compassion.
