A physician assistant on the pediatric blood and marrow transplant team, Sara Gunnoe, PA-C, has a special interest in malignant disorders requiring stem cell transplant.
Born in Marion, Va., and raised in Hinton, W.Va., Sara earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology at West Virginia University. She went on to earn a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at the University of Charleston. Prior to joining UVA in November 2020, Sara spent five years at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog.
