Bio & Overview
Avery Michienzi, DO, is an emergency medicine doctor and medical toxicologist.
Dr. Michienzi grew up in Minneapolis and studied genetics, cellular biology, and development at the University of Minnesota. She received her medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
She completed her emergency medicine residency at Wellspan York Hospital in Wellspan, PA, and her medical toxicology fellowship at UVA.
She loves medical education and enjoys creating educational games to help teach medical students and residents. Her research areas of interest include vape shop drugs, novel drug detection, and unintentional pediatric ingestions.
