Bio & Overview
Brynne Sullivan, MD, MSCR, is an assistant professor of pediatrics in the division of neonatology. She sees patients in the NICU but spends the majority of her time on clinical and computational research, focusing on developing and testing predictive analytics. Her research projects span from early warning systems for infection in preterm infants using cardiorespiratory data, to using pulse oximetry data analytics for objective assessment of neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome in term infants.
Dr. Sullivan was born and raised in Richmond. Dr. Sullivan completed her undergraduate degree at Washington and Lee University, where she competed on the varsity equestrian team and majored in biology. She went to medical school at UVA and has lived in Charlottesville ever since, completing her pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship here at UVA.
Dr. Sullivan is married to Kevin, an emergency medicine doctor, and they have two boys, James and Henry. Outside of work, they enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
