Bio & Overview
Dr. Norton started his higher education path with a bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering, eventually completing both his residency and fellowship here at UVA, after which he joined our attending faculty. He’s currently a joint faculty member in the department of Radiology and the department of Pediatrics. He’s the fellowship director of Noninvasive Cardiovascular Imaging within the department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, and he’s medical advisor for the associate of applied sciences degree in radiology at Piedmont Valley Community College here in Charlottesville.
Dr. Norton’s current projects include imaging techniques of assessing left atrial function in the setting of atrial fibrillation, radiation dose reduction in pediatric cardiac CT, imaging of transcatheter aortic valve repair and CTA and MRA imaging techniques of the extremities.
